A small, local IT company looking after the technology that Southwest Florida businesses run on — from the office on Center Road, out to Cape Coral, Lehigh Acres, Bonita Springs and Naples. Focused on small businesses, with no interest in becoming the biggest.
HenkTek started as a Fort Myers computer repair shop. It changed hands in 2010, and over the years that followed the work shifted — less walk-in repair, more looking after the systems that local businesses actually depend on. Servers instead of laptops. Networks instead of single machines. Practices and offices instead of passing trade. The name changed to HenkTek in 2022 to match what the business had become.
What did not change was the shape of it. We stayed deliberately small and stayed local, and we work with small businesses across Southwest Florida. That is not a limitation we apologise for — it is the reason we can know your setup rather than read notes about it, and the reason the person who answers the phone is the person who understands your network.
The trade-off is honest and worth stating: we are not the right choice for a company that needs a formal help desk running three shifts. We are the right choice for a business that wants technology handled properly by someone who is actually reachable.
You will get told what broke, why, and what the options are, without jargon used as a substitute for explanation. If you do not understand our answer, that is our failure and not yours — ask again.
You approve the cost before anything starts, and it does not change without your say-so. Our hourly figures are published on the site rather than kept behind a phone call.
When a repair costs more than the machine is worth, we say so. When your existing setup is fine, we say that too, even though the sale would have been easy. Being the firm you trust for the next question is worth more than one invoice.
We respond the same business day. After-hours and weekend work is available as an emergency call at a higher rate — and monitoring exists precisely so you need that less often.
We end up inside your accounting, your patient records, your client files. That access is treated as it should be. For regulated practices, how we handle and document it matters as much as the fix itself.
Anyone can close the same ticket every month. The useful work is finding out why it keeps happening, which is how support gets cheaper over time rather than becoming a subscription to the same problem.
Mostly small and mid-sized commercial clients around Lee and Collier counties: professional offices, retail and trade businesses, warehouses, and medical practices. Some have a server room; some have five laptops and a printer that starts arguments.
A few areas we know particularly well. Dental practices and oral surgery practices, where imaging and practice-management systems are unforgiving about downtime and patient data brings obligations an ordinary office does not have. And contractors, who have the opposite problem — a small office, people constantly in and out, and everything needing to work when the trucks come back.
What we do not do is residential work. Servers, workstations, office networks and the software your team depends on. Focusing on small businesses keeps us good at the kind of work we actually do.
The office is at 602 Center Rd, Fort Myers, FL 33907, and it is appointment only — there is no walk-in counter, so please call or email before bringing equipment. Regular hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
Phone is (239) 234-2334. Worth knowing: that is a voice line and cannot receive text messages, so if you have texted us and heard nothing, that is why — please call or email instead.
We are licensed and insured, and we cover Fort Myers, North Fort Myers, Cape Coral, Lehigh Acres, Bonita Springs, Estero and Naples. If you are slightly outside that, ask — a great deal can be handled remotely regardless of distance.
Please call or email first. The office is appointment only, so arranging a time means someone is there to receive the equipment and take details rather than you making a wasted trip.
No — the number is a voice line and text messages will not arrive. Call (239) 234-2334.
HenkTek works with small businesses across Southwest Florida. For a personal machine, a consumer repair shop is a better fit.
The business has been under current ownership since 2010, and took the HenkTek name in 2022. It began life as a Fort Myers computer repair shop, which is still a large part of what we do.
Not at all. Plenty of clients call when they need something and pay by the hour. Monthly managed agreements are there for businesses that want predictable costs and monitoring, not as a barrier to getting help.
Fort Myers, North Fort Myers, Cape Coral, Lehigh Acres, Bonita Springs, Estero and Naples — and remote support anywhere it makes sense.
I have been using The Computer Guy for years at my dental office. I don’t have a clue how my computer network works so that all of my computers talk to each other and so that my practice software works.
Jesse comes right away, and fixes everything — bad disk drives, software bugs, Microsoft Office, replace printers, problems with servers, wifi setup, etc. You name it, he’s fixed it for us, with a great price and excellent service. We would recommend him for all your computer needs.
I work in a Doctors office and one morning I came in and the network was down. There was something wrong with our server. A friend recommended The Computer Guy…
Whether something is broken today or you just want an honest opinion on what you have, the first conversation costs nothing.
